About this bottle

Martin Markvardsen, Highland Park's Danish brand ambassador, chose this single malt. It matured for a decade, with its aging process involving 70% American ex-bourbon barrels and 30% ex-Oloroso sherry casks. Originally exclusive to Sweden, this expression's distribution has since grown to include numerous other European regions. It is not presently sold in the United States.

Valarie Sheffield 3.0

Pepper and peat are prominent in this lightly smoky, slightly salty 10-year expression. Butterscotch and dried fruit flavors are complemented by lemony acidity and a touch of honey. It has the classic character of Highland Park but at an entry-level quality.

Hillary Millard 3.0

Caramel and dried fruits detected on the aroma. Balanced pepper, oak, grain, and salt on the taste, with subtle smoke, lemon leaf, and honey notes as it develops. Lacking sherry characteristics?

Lainey Moffett 3.8

Reminiscent of Highland Park sherry, with earthy, caramel, chocolate, oak, sweet notes, and a subtle touch of smoke. It's too good for its reasonable price, which might explain why it was discontinued.
