About this bottle

Although Glencadam's origins trace back to 1825, single malts bearing this name have only been available since 2005. This 12-year-old spirit initially matured in bourbon barrels, then spent an additional 20 months aging in an ex-port pipe. Consistent with all Glencadam releases, it is bottled at 92 proof and is non-chill-filtered.

This likely isn't for me; I'd prefer the Glenmorangie Quana Rubain over this any day. While it has a fruity, complex taste, I feel the alcohol is too overpowering in this whisky. After consuming half a bottle, I have a greater appreciation for it; I suppose this one requires time to grow on me.
