About this bottle

Tequila Tromba celebrates the "Tromba," or "Big Rain," a seasonal Jalisco rainfall that irrigates the region's agave crops. This unaged tequila is produced from 7- to 12-year-old blue Weber agave cultivated in the Los Altos area of Jalisco. It is bottled at 40% ABV immediately after its second distillation, with a suggested retail price of $32.99.

Raw agave, rustic and unaged, Tequila Tromba in its most unadulterated state. In this Blanco Tequila you are able to taste the genuine flavors of the Agave. That are gathered from the highlands of Jalisco. There is nothing to conceal, just excellent Tequila. Personally I favor it "naked and nude" borrowed from Firehouse Lounge and Hostel in Austin, Texas. Or simply neat. You may even detect a faint grassy flavor at first, but it is mellowed by the wonderful sugars. That are prominent following fermentation and distillation. All in all, a great Paloma or sipping Tequila!

Extremely smooth with a light, sweet flavor. While I'm not an expert, this has made me appreciate tequila. It's surprising that the price has risen from $32 to $40 recently at the ABC store. Based on my positive experience with the blanco, I've decided to try both the Reposado and Anejo, which I'll review after opening.

Appearance: Perfectly clear with slow-falling legs. Nose: Lightly cooked agave, pineapple, freshly cut grass, a little baking spice. Taste: Very bright and agave-forward with notes of green bell pepper and black pepper. Brilliant on the rocks or in a margarita.

It's pretty smooth, but the agave and pepper flavors only come through on the finish. Initially, it has notes of oil, powdered sugar, and chalk, with a mild alcohol sting. It's less sweet than Casamigos, but not as enjoyable either. Priced at $50 in Ontario.

Sweet and spicy, with floral undertones and pleasant spices. The agave flavor is truly remarkable. An excellent example of what highland tequila should offer.

Clean, smooth, vibrant, easy to drink, easy to mix in a cocktail. Beautiful example of a great highland tequila. YES!
