About this bottle

Located in San Julían, Jalisco, Tepozán Tequila is a farm-to-glass product crafted from organically grown agaves sourced from the estate where the distillery operates. Carlos Padilla, transitioning from farming to tequila production, utilizes 100% Weber blue agave. The agaves undergo a two-day cooking process in traditional brick ovens. Following milling, fermentation occurs in open-air steel tanks, relying on wild, ambient local yeast. The blanco expression completes two distillations and is bottled without any added ingredients. The brand name, Tepozán, references the tepozán tree, known as a sanctuary for butterflies throughout Central Mexico. (SRP $45)
