Bull Run Distilling Company finishes its Temperance Trader Bourbon Whiskey, which is made from a high-rye mash in Indiana and then aged and bottled in Oregon, in chinato barrels from Oregon winery Cana's Feast. The barrels were previously used to age chinato, a beverage made from Nebbiolo wine and infused with ingredients including gentian, mace, fennel, and coriander.

Slightly tart on top, with sweetness below. Fennel and herbs are perceptible on the nose and palate, yet they don't dominate. This would pair wonderfully with deli sandwiches or pickled/brined vegetables. A distinctive bottling.
Sweet cinnamon hearts consistently! So enjoyable. My bottle indicates Bull Run.
