Tanteo Jalapeño Tequila

Notes of jalapeño sprang from the glass upon pouring. A closer sniff reveals sweet agave and white pepper beneath the jalapeños. The taste is certainly complex. Sweet agave nectar comes first, quickly followed by a double heat: alcoholic warmth and burning jalapeño. The finish begins with candied vanilla, then the jalapeño intensifies, lingering long in the aftertaste. It persists for many minutes, accompanied by a pleasant mouth burn.

This was excellent. I appreciate well-executed spicy flavors, especially pepper. The initial taste delivers a pleasant jalapeño flavor. Subsequent sips offer a subtle pepper note with a mild throat tingle and sweet agave from the tequila. Superb served on the rocks.

Excellent in a watermelon margarita; a sprinkle of Tajin would enhance it.
