It's not really fair for me to be reviewing this since I'm not a fan of flavored tequila. Meaning, I would never buy it for myself. I've actually never had it before now, except for Tequila Rose in high school. I prefer my spirits straight or on the rocks if necessary. So I can't say if this meets the expectations of the intended audience. I will say it is very sweet, and tastes a lot like pineapple juice with jalapeno mixed in. I'm sure it makes a fantastic pineapple jalapeno flavored margarita. It doesn't make for a great sipper straight. And honestly, who would even try that? So, if you're seeking a pineapple jalapeno tequila for making tropical drinks and getting drunk on the patio, I know of no better option. As far as I know, this is the best in its category and is priced very reasonably. What I do know is that Dulce Vida went to a great deal of expense to produce this product line. They bought farmland and managed the agave cultivation. They age their straight tequilas for more than enough time, and their website shows a picture submitted by a user of a woman in a bikini top sitting with her legs spread on a picnic blanket in some grass. I strongly believe that by offering this drink in certain settings with certain people, you'll significantly increase the likelihood of personally having an experience similar to what's shown in the picture.

You first sense the agave, followed by mild heat from the jalapeño blended with the tequila's kick. The pineapple's sweetness remains on the palate with the pepper's warmth. It's complex, but I'm not sure it suits me as a shot. It would likely make an excellent cocktail.

It tastes as expected. It's smooth, with sweet pineapple and jalapeno flavors, and a light warmth at the end. I enjoy it on the rocks, but I'm sure it would be even better in a flavored margarita!!!

Pineapple jalapeño, but it's almost cucumber-like.
