A refined Agave Spirit from NOM 1438, crafted with Blue Weber Agave roasted in a brick oven, sourced from Jalisco's highlands and lowlands. It’s double distilled and then infused with natural essences. The aroma begins with hints of cooked agave and green vegetables. I anticipated this would be terrible as I dislike tequila, jalapeño, and cucumber. My gag reflex automatically assigns it the lowest score, but that's my personal issue, unlike the Sombra, which is an act of terrorism. On the plus side, it's smooth and the finish is quick.
The aromas are as expected, with more cucumber than jalapeño. There's some sweetness in the flavor, but the jalapeño dominates. It's not hot, not beyond the alcohol's intensity, but it is flavorful.
Cool cucumber and bright jalapeño notes lead to a mellow tequila finish. It feels authentic, like a refreshing pick from the garden.
Vegetal. Jalapeño. Cucumber. Fresh. A light, refreshing spiciness.
Excellent when mixed with ranch water and a jalapeño.
