About this bottle

Locally sourced sugar cane from Trinidad is used to produce Stolen Smoked Rum, which is column-distilled. The spirit is aged for a minimum of two years in American oak ex-whiskey barrels. Its flavor profile is enhanced with Colombian Arabica coffee beans, fenugreek seeds from Morocco, and vanilla beans from Madagascar. The rum undergoes a smoking process in America using hardwood from the region.

An intense, 'Dark Rum by Stolen Spirits in the USA. They start with a column-distilled Rum from Trinidad, made from locally sourced sugar cane & molasses. It is then aged for up to 2 years in ex-American oak whiskey barrels. They then infuse the Rum using re-fractionated Colombian Arabica coffee, wholly distilled from same day roasted beans; complemented by premium Madagascan vanilla beans & Moroccan fenugreek. The Rum is rounded off with notes of American hardwood, acquired through a smoking process called pyrolysis—the burning of hardwood in the absence of oxygen.' It has an aromatic birth with notes of freshly brewed Colombian Arabica coffee; while rich & creamy life adds notes of roasted caramel, Madagascan Vanilla beans & Moroccan Fenugreek; that led to a long & warm death with notes of spices, orange, tomato, bread, smoke & American hardwood. This is exceptionally poor. I typically enjoy strong smoke in my scotch and mezcal, but this tastes so artificial it's undrinkable. I've resorted to using it in an 'Old Fashioned,' which isn't terrible, but I eventually mixed it with a less expensive rum to improve it. Simply awful; I will never purchase it again.

Stolen smells like freshly ground coffee, with a whisper of vanilla and a subtle smokiness. A smooth blend for its price point.

Ty Stephenson 4.0

Intensely smoky. Consuming it neat presents a challenge, but it's a rewarding one. A truly one-of-a-kind rum.

Mila Moore 4.0

Decent for its category. Looking forward to mixing it with smoky cola in the future.

Devin Ragsdale 2.3

Very smoky, not terrible with ice, but still quite harsh.
