Captain Morgan Black Spiced Rum

Not very surprising rum from Morgan's, it's like black and spiced mixed together and a bit mellowed. Good for Rum & Coke or "black rum" recipes, but not really for neat drinking. Can recommend for mixers, can't recommend for sipping (nor binge drinking, I usually got heartburn from this kind of rums).

Extremely sweet. The flavor profile lacks significant complexity, featuring only caramel, cherry cola, butterscotch, and faint hints of bubblegum and clove. It barely exhibits the advertised oak spice. Its intense sweetness makes it stand out in mixed drinks, so exercise caution when adding sugar or syrup. I will definitively stick with the Kraken.

Nose: cola, spices, caramel. Taste: a bit sharp, but very dark, which I enjoy about it. Like a low-cost Kraken, with more aggressive, biting alcohol, but pleasant in flavor with spices, barrel, and caramel.

Decent spiced rum, significantly better and more flavorful than Bacardi Oakheart. A lot of vanilla is detected. Extremely sweet. Enjoyable on its own and in mixed drinks.

Perhaps my preferred spirit after Stolichnaya. Fantastic served any way, with an incredible taste and excellent for carrying in a flask. A perfect score, one of the absolute best.

Unimpressive flavor for a dark rum. I anticipated something richer. Mixing it with cola makes it more acceptable, but it's still not particularly good.
