St. Laurent Gin

Gin with a slight green hue from kelp. On the nose, juniper berries, cinnamon stick, coriander seed, a subtle herbaceous and briny seaside aroma, pepper, and dried citrus zest. Generally very smooth. The palate begins with juniper berries and spices, fresh lemon, coriander, and a touch of spicy alcohol. It then becomes more complex, revealing forest and boreal flavors, lots of pine, cinnamon, slight menthol, and orange peel. The finish accentuates the kelp, becoming somewhat briny. Nice texture, with relatively mellow and diverse flavors. Excellent.

The aroma consists of salt spray, driftwood, evergreen trees, and mandarin oranges. The mouthfeel is velvety smooth, with primarily warm flavors of cinnamon and licorice, complemented by distinct coriander seeds and a slightly briny antiseptic note. Very good! It tastes like a blend between a traditional London Dry and an aquavit.

An initial herbal and floral approach gives way to notes of pine forest, followed by pastry aromas, citrus scents, and a hint of pepper. Bladderwrack, also known as Neptune's belt, gives Gin St. Laurent its characteristic greenish hue and a smooth, fresh, and slightly briny finish.

This gin is incredible, one of my top picks. A fantastic blend of herbs and seaweed that's perfectly balanced.

A subtle hint of pine and citrus is present. Makes an excellent gin soda.
