Southern Comfort Black

The aroma consists of sweet, dark fruits like cherry, plum, and raspberry, along with bubble gum and some spices such as clove and light cinnamon. The flavors lean more towards spice initially, like hot cinnamon candy with a cherry undertone. Then the alcohol heat kicks in. The finish is a tingling cherry cough syrup with a sweeter fruit aftertaste where I detected some plastic. It's all over the place, really.

This 80 proof version presents a clear, caramel color with uniform alcohol legs. The aroma offers notes of cherry, various spices, and a faint bourbon scent. The flavor echoes these elements, along with oak barrel notes. It has a medium body and Southern Comfort Black concludes with a medium-long finish. - RJT
