While I highly praised the exceptionally scarce green corn variant from this producer, this one is the complete opposite. I sampled a single barrel pour, so experiences may differ. The aroma was unbearable. It smelled like a sewer and burnt plastic. I struggled immensely to even take a sip, unable to overcome the smell. The taste was equally unpleasant. It reminded me of rotten vegetables and spoiled meat. I question if I had a flawed barrel, or if something in it provoked a reaction in me... who knows. It was just a 1cl sample from a tasting set. I discarded about 90% of it.

The smell is intriguing, with herbal notes and a hint of gasoline, almost like mezcal. It tastes bready with grassy and herbal notes, reminiscent of chewing bamboo, and has a subtle mezcal-like quality.

There's a mild burn. The aroma is sweeter than the flavor, which is preferable. It's quite pleasant!

Knox Guo 2.5

Enjoyable for a drink or two, but not something I would typically choose for regular consumption.
