About this bottle
Berkshire Mountain Distillers conceived of Shays' Rebellion American Whiskey in partnership with Sam Adams Brewery in 2012. They triple distilled a quantity of Samuel Adams Cinder Bock, then aged the spirit for 3.5 years in Sam Adams Utopias casks until it was deemed ready. The whiskey honors Massachusetts' independent spirit, as the final battle of Shays' Rebellion occurred only three miles from the distillery. Fewer than 3,000 bottles were distributed across the nation.
