As far as I know, this is discontinued. I found it in Germany at a Lidl supermarket around 2019. What an incredible discovery it was. Back then, it cost about 10 to 15 euros. This dry gin is rich in botanicals, and the herbs detected in the aroma and taste are genuinely present. The flavor notes are remarkable and wonderful. It's smooth, not aggressive, and evokes the scent of the forest after a rainstorm following a long dry spell (is that called petrichor?). It's complex with many layers in scent and taste, yet perfectly balanced. The taste has a subtle spiciness in the background. The aftertaste is delicate and lingers. It is certainly not a standard or simple gin. I was very pleasantly surprised by it. I hope to acquire another bottle someday. It originates from Eckert's Wacholderbrennerei GmbH, located at Trierer Strasse 59 D-66636 Tholey.
