This gin is excellent. It's quite sweet and liqueur-like, with abundant botanicals, making it a superb sipper for any occasion. You wouldn't guess it's 44% ABV; it's remarkably smooth. The natural blue hue, achieved through macerating iris root after distillation, adds an extra appealing touch.

About this bottle
Magellan Iris Flavored Gin starts with a neutral grain spirit derived from wheat grown in France's Beauce Valley. During its fourth distillation, eleven botanicals are infused: French juniper berries, cloves, Sri Lankan cinnamon, cassia from Indochina, Mexican orange peel, Moroccan coriander, Chinese licorice, West African grains of paradise, Indian cardamom, Indonesian nutmeg, and Italian iris root and flower. The inclusion of iris imparts a distinct blue hue to the gin after it infuses with the spirit post-distillation. It is bottled at 44% ABV.

It's a bit dull and primarily offers a spice note. Not bad for the price but really more of a collector's gin. The bottle is stunning and the blue color looks fantastic on the shelf.
Nice gin, the juniper isn't overwhelming. The alcohol level is moderate. Seems to have citrus and floral notes, but it's not certain.
It strongly reminds me of Hendricks. Quite enjoyable.
Fruity with a touch of spice.
