Diplomático Single Vintage 2004

I had the opportunity to sample this at a spirits gala last year, and it was divine. I'm not typically a rum drinker and didn't know much about the industry beyond common offerings (Capt Morgan, Malibu, Bacardi, etc.). This was one of those moments of revelation where everything I'd tasted before became irrelevant. If you can find it, purchase it.

Truly outstanding. A very pronounced caramel flavor with a delightful finish. The influence of the sherry casks is very evident in this bottle.

A rum with a sweeter, milder flavor profile. Becomes smooth after a short time with ice. Truly top-tier flavor.
