This rum, distilled in 2005, was aged for up to 12 years in casks that previously held bourbon and single malt whisky. It then underwent a finishing period in ex-Oloroso sherry barrels. The alcohol content is 43% ABV.

Attended Dramfest 2020. Distilled in 2005 and aged in American white oak casks, this blended rum from Diplomatico has been finished in oloroso sherry casks for a year.
Aroma: Vanilla, chocolate, brown sugar Taste: Vanilla, citrus, sherry Finish: Begins smooth and concludes with a warm, slightly heated sensation.
Truly excellent… a good mix of burn and a smooth conclusion. The sherry is noticeable but doesn't overpower the rum character.
Not as good as the 2002 version.
