An exceptionally rich, expressive cognac, packed with prunes, cherries, and chocolate. Not much more to add. It's as good as it gets. Nose: brandied cherries, raspberries, latte, hints of Amarone or Primitivo from Manduria, high-quality chocolate, abundant jammy notes (specifically raspberry jam or chokeberry), sweet piquant spices, cinnamon, fresh cigar tobacco, humidor. Palate: dark chocolate with cherries, prunes, and cranberries, coffee, maple syrup, caramel ice cream, numerous raisins and dried prunes. Finish has a slight oakiness, again with prominent notes of chocolate, coffee, and dried cherries. This will pair wonderfully with a friend's famous chili. Just be careful not to spill it.
