About this bottle

Renegade Rum is a project from Grenada focused on showcasing terroir. The distillery harvests, mills, and distills fresh sugarcane from individual farms, field by field. The All-Island Cuvée: Nova is a blend of sugarcane from multiple single farms across Grenada, utilizing different cane varieties (lacalome red, yellow lady, lodger, cain, and clean ester), distillation techniques (pot and column), and wood types (first-fill bourbon, virgin, charred American oak, ex-Bordeaux French oak, and virgin Andean oak). It is aged for 1.8 years and bottled at 46% ABV. Launching in December 2023, this is one of four flagship rums introduced to the US market. The suggested retail price is $59.99.

Sage Lincoln 4.5

Musky, wood-forward aroma with a cane funk. Upon entry, the palate is presented with a tannic ensemble, that initially seems to be quite dry, yet after a few seconds becomes quite sweet and caramel driven, with a Sugar Daddy-like flavor. Another sip reveals a round, smooth, flavor reminiscent of rum cake. A long and sweet finish leads to the end. A truly great sipping cane rum.
