I have wanted to explore this distillery for a while. Today was perfect for a trip with a day off and autumn sun. A friend suggested I bring home their Signature Gin, along with smaller bottles of their other spirits. I appreciate that their bottles look like antique decanters topped with wax seals! The aroma is botanical yet not too strong. Sipping it neat offers herbaceous notes of Canadian sweet fern and a prominent juniper character. There is a moderate burn that causes a tingling sensation on the tongue, leading to a dry, savory conclusion. Although Reid's Signature Gin is smooth enough on its own and with ice, it pairs wonderfully with soda, like an ideal companion to a gathering. Their intention was to craft a gin suitable for martinis, G&Ts, or cocktails, and I believe they achieved that. 7.5/10.
