The aroma presents subtle notes of toasted wood, vanilla, ripe fruit, and a whisper of smoke. It's remarkably smooth, softer than anticipated for a six-year-old, 100-proof spirit. It does possess a welcoming quality. The initial taste brings a mild spice from baking spices, leading to a touch of dryness. Chewy wood and vanilla emerge, accompanied by faint hints of fresh fruit that provide a sweet brightness. It's quite straightforward, yet appealing due to its drinkability. This strikes a fine balance between age and proof, delivering more body than the regular Rebel version. The finish is moderately long, with a persistent dryness and the spice fading as the woody smoothness remains. Quite delicious and easily savored. This is an excellent spirit to keep readily available.

Interesting aroma: fruit, oaky and a little floral, with a sweet vanilla hint. Taste reveals an earth tone with a spicy cinnamon and darker fruit flavor. Finish is medium, lasts on the palate for several minutes. Oddly balanced drink, perhaps the age makes the balance off a little? It's a decent pour for the price, but doesn't make me crave more.
It begins earthy, but sweet. It's very smooth, but the earthiness remains for too long for my preference.
A pleasant, enduring finish.
