Green River 1885 Bourbon, named for the brand's 1885 establishment, is a Kentucky straight bourbon intended for the on-premise market. It has a mash bill of 76% corn, 15% rye, and 9% malted barley, and it was aged for at least 4 years. This bourbon is sold exclusively in 1L bottles, designed for bartender convenience. Kentucky Bourbon Festival Capsule Review: Smells like apples. Taste is subtly sweet and watery. Finishes quickly with notes of baking spices. This is hardly a drink you'd desire straight, but that's its purpose. This large, inexpensive bottle was intended for bar use. It's a flexible spirit for mixed drinks that's economical while still being genuine bourbon. This meets those needs perfectly.
