From the first impression, it's clear this bottling shares characteristics with a blended Scotch. Bright, oaky, elevated notes, with a whisper of smoke, and a deep, resonant foundation of malt. On the tongue, a sweetness and smoothness emerge, thanks to the corn and wheat. A touch of rye spice appears as you first taste it. The texture is medium-light, leaving a generally comforting and mellow sensation. No flaws detected. The conclusion is remarkably lengthy, fading softly with an oaky character. Superbly crafted, and the sort of spirit that compels another taste. The Kentucky Owl brand keeps delivering.

As a big fan of nutty and chunky peanut butter, I was pleasantly surprised and delighted to be met with a peanut flavor mid-palate. The nuttiness was followed by a spicy note and subtle sweetness. The finish was long, primarily on the mid-palate, but there's more to discover with this dram.

On the nose, I get chocolate, toffee, and peanuts. The initial sip is smooth with toffee, cinnamon, oak, char, and leather. Adding ice brings out subtle variations of these notes. This is a commendable offering from KY Owl and one I strongly recommend.

Certainly enjoyable, but far too expensive. I spent $30 for a serving ($140 MSRP). It tastes like a $50 bottle.

Pleasant aroma, with a grain-forward taste. It evokes a 'sweet tea' impression. The finish is medium to long.
