Barrel 2965, bottle 38 105.74 proof Aged 7 years, 2 months Glass: Glencairn, rested 15 minutes. Color: Gorgeous mahogany. Nose: Dark fruit and sweet oak. Palate: Cinnamon, clove, baking spice and more fruit. Finish: Long length with medium heat. Splash: A few drops of water cuts the spice a bit, but no new flavors appear. Overall: 9/10 - This was a fresh crack, so it may open up over time. After the gorgeous color and fruity nose, the palate was like a punch in the mouth that I didn’t expect. Considering the wheated mashbill, I hadn’t expected this level of spice in the palate. Once I knew what to expect, it was actually quite pleasant. This was my first experience with this distillery and they brought their A game. I’m very curious to try their other expressions.

Seelbachs selection Smell: a little vanilla, butterscotch, and grain Taste: presents warmer than its alcohol content, but pleasantly so. This is delicious and nicely balanced. It offers oak, spice, sweetness, grain, and proof. Fantastic selection
