The scent is unoriginal and overly sweet. It's just a nice, sweet smell with no character. I also dislike the combination of solera and añejo aging, as I find specifying an age for solera systems to be more about marketing than a reliable indicator. The flavor is suitable for dessert, with expected notes of raisins, cherries, bananas, and dark molasses. There's nothing particularly engaging about it. If you enjoy overly sweet rums, this is fine, and it delivers on that promise. However, it lacks refinement, so you might want to sip it quickly.
