The aroma is of pure, naturally sweet coconut! Excellent. It tastes just like fresh coconut too! If you want a top-tier coconut rum for mixed drinks, this is it. It's not excessively sweet, tasting like fresh coconut milk but not overpowering, and its alcohol strength isn't so high that the burn detracts. While I enjoy Selva Rey Coconut, this one is slightly superior. That says it all; this is the one. My rating is for sipping it neat.

About this bottle
Planteray Cut & Dry Coconut Rum is a 100% Barbadian rum infused with locally sourced coconut. The white coconut flesh is cut and dried before being steeped in Barbados rum, with one coconut utilized per liter of rum. Previously known as Plantation, the brand's name was changed to Planteray to honor the sugarcane plant and the sun's role in its growth. Cut & Dry is the inaugural release under the new name, launching in January 2024. It is available in the US, UK, France, and the Caribbean, with a suggested retail price of $35.

It has coconut, banana, and vanilla flavors, along with sweet notes; I don't detect ginger. It's brown. The aroma also carries coconut notes, not too strong. I drank 2 centiliters.
The initial aroma resembles packaged shredded coconut with a hint of brown sugar. The taste is of molasses and shredded coconut. The finish is bitter.
Coconut, pure coconut!
