Iva Harms 4.5

Overripe banana comes through first, followed by bourbon notes of cherry and caramel with hints of fig and molasses. You can certainly tell it was aged in bourbon barrels. Extremely easy to drink and not as overwhelmingly oaked as I expected for nearly 23 years of aging, which I consider a positive. It's not as complex as some Jamaican rums. It reminds me a little of Foursquare. Really enjoyable.

Reva Lenz 3.5

I'm not particularly enjoying this. I feel the secondary barrel aging diminished the rum characteristics of this offering. It tastes somewhat harsh and less like rum. I suspect the cognac barrel is overpowering, but I'm not sure. It's acceptable, but not outstanding.
