This whiskey is a blend of 55% rye with Pinckney Bend American Rested Whiskey, which is made from 80% corn, 15% barley, and 5% rye. The rye component is aged in standard-sized new whiskey barrels, while the Rested whiskey matures in new 15-gallon barrels. The distillery is situated 300 feet from Missouri Pacific railroad tracks, with trains passing every 40 minutes, imparting a "seismic" influence on the whiskey.

The color is very pale. The nose is spicy. It's intensely spicy, sharp, and hot at first. The mouthfeel is thin. More oak and corn come through on subsequent sips. Adding a single drop of water enhances its body and introduces a fruitier character. Score: 3.7.
