Appearance: A pale gold, transparent liquid with no visible particles. Aroma: Notes of leather car seats, raw tobacco, wormwood, green anise, grass clippings, and wood reminiscent of freshly snapped twigs, with subtle hints of Cointreau and sambuca. Palate: An initial moderate sweetness gives way to a bright herbal spice. Flavors of leather, citron zest, and caraway seed are present, along with a tobacco note that is not as expected. There is no smokiness whatsoever. The aftertaste is moderate, leaving a subtle spicy, almost tingling sensation on the tongue. One might anticipate a smoky profile from a tobacco liqueur, especially from a mass-market producer who would likely use artificial smoke. However, this offering is far more refined. Tobacco is presented as an elegant, semi-sweet, herbal component. While it might taste slightly unusual initially, imagine chewing a piece of green tobacco leaf rather than smoking it. It possesses a fresh, crisp, almost minty quality, with a slight tingle akin to fermented chewing tobacco. Despite retaining the character of tobacco, it lacks its harmful constituents. It is nicotine-free yet still captures the taste. There is also a slight resemblance to absinthe and green Chartreuse. Jade Perique Liqueur de Tabac, its full name, was created by the individual behind the Jade absinthe range, considered the most authentic contemporary absinthe. As a native of Louisiana, it is fitting that attention would turn to perique tobacco, a type unique to that region. Perique is an exceptionally aromatic, fruity, and intense tobacco, typically used sparingly in pipe blends and specialist cigarette mixtures. This is an unusual liqueur that is thoroughly enjoyable. Its limited production may make it difficult to find, but if located, it is reasonably priced and highly recommended. “Very Good”: 87/100 (4.25 stars)

I had a different expectation for this liqueur. I was anticipating smoked tobacco, but the flavor is that of raw tobacco. It has a texture similar to chewing tobacco with a gummy sweetness. It's quite unique and not a bad drink, I just wished for some smokiness.
It's better once you realize it resembles chewing tobacco instead of smoking tobacco. A truly original item.
