About this bottle

Master Mezcalero Hectór Obregón crafts the joven mezcal Pelotón De la Muerte Criollo in Mazatlán. This mezcal is made from 100% Criollo, a wild agave variety indigenous to the Guerrero region. Production involves an open-air fermentation lasting five days, followed by double distillation using a "Filipino" still with a wooden cap. "Pelotón de la Muerte" translates to “squadron of death,” and its label features the flag used by Mexican Revolution insurgents.
