About this bottle

While Colombian rum may not be widely recognized by average consumers, the region produces several high-quality spirits. Parce, a Colombian slang term for "good friend" and a newer U.S.-based private-label brand, imports aged rum from Colombia, offering eight- and twelve-year-old versions. The Parce 8 is a blend of rums aged for a minimum of eight years in ex-bourbon casks.

Jensen Manzo 4.0

Extremely smooth. Just enough substance for a pleasant mouthfeel, but not very complex. A touch of brown sugar at the start with a nice sweetness at the end. A subtle hint of cocoa and orange peel lingers.

Johnnie Finley 4.0

Wait, is this rum? If I tasted this blindfolded, I would swear it was bourbon. It's excellent for sipping neat to appreciate its woody character, provided you aren't seeking a distinctly "tropical" flavor.

Luka Crisp 4.0

3.75. Charming balance of caramelized sugars, light woody/nutty overtones, some hints of dry grain supported by booze-soaked red cherries, mild background of vanilla. Faintly hot.

Rhys Epstein 4.0

A satisfying rum. Very smooth with some vanilla on the initial taste and a woody flavor throughout.

Ruthie Harkins 4.5

Smooth, full-bodied, and pleasant sweetness
