Oregon Spirit Single Barrel Bottled In Bond Wheat Whiskey

An elegant, Bottled in Bond Single Barrel Wheat Whiskey from Oregon Spirit Distillery in Oregon, created with locally sourced grains (a mash bill of 74% wheat, 18% rye & 8% barley), pure Cascade Mountain water, and aged for at least 5 years in new American Oak barrels before being bottled at 50% ABV. It begins with an aromatic profile of grains, wood, nuts, herbs & spices; its rich & creamy character adds notes of apple pie, honey & grass; concluding with a warm & balanced finish of medium duration, featuring notes of oak, pepper, vanilla, mint, graphite & smoke.

From Flaviar Advent 2025, item #14. Clear amber liquid with faint legs. Aroma of woody honey, vanilla, and fruit. Flavor profile includes honey, vanilla, wood, earth, and fruit. Medium-light body with moderate warmth. Scored 9/4/8/4/17, totaling 4.2.

A very good bourbon with wheat, featuring abundant honey, a hint of crisp apple, and a pleasant sweetness. The nose offers light herbal/grassy notes. A wise selection.
