Ole Smoky Blue Flame Moonshine

An intense moonshine from Ole Smoky Distillery in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, crafted from grain and cane and bottled at 64% ABV. It begins delicately with hints of desert plants, then develops boldly with notes of cane pomace and charred corn. It concludes with a grappa-like character of medium length, featuring notes of charcoal. Tasted in October 2023.

They clearly created this as a "what's the highest proof we can get away with" joke and committed to it. It's probably best to just dip your finger in it for a laugh, then forget about it on the back of the shelf and do it again.

Ole Smokey Blue Flame Moonshine is classic legal moonshine. The aromas of pure corn alcohol and pepper hit the nose. The entry is smooth with a palate of corn. The finish is corn and charred corn with a hint of white pepper.

At 128 proof, this Corn Whiskey (NOT neutral spirit) is Barrel Proof, but without the barrel. It has a Sunoco-like aroma, a sweet, oily burn on the palate, and peppery warmth in the finish; you'll be sipping this one straight from the jar.

Really smooth, with a burn going down. Tastes much like plain vodka but has a whisky finish.
