The aroma doesn't reveal much beyond a welcoming whiff of juniper that transports you straight to fields filled with ripe juniper bushes. The taste, however, does reveal an interesting mix of botanicals. There's nothing remarkable about it – it's a standard London Dry. I'd struggle to tell it apart from other quality gins. Despite listening to Learning to Fly, my high hopes of adding Old Pilot's to my esteemed list were met with mild disappointment on this front. I would still recommend it. It's not as smooth as high-quality plum rakija, but it serves its purpose.
