Excellent aroma. Reminiscent of Heaven Hill, nutty, but richer. Exceptionally smooth, with notes of peanut and dark chocolate. It would make a fantastic daily drinker, if only it were obtainable. This is a more robust, thicker rendition of Evan Williams white label. 6/13/17

About this bottle
Old Fitzgerald's 1849 Bourbon, from the Heaven Hill distillery, honors a traditional wheated bourbon style. It is believed to commemorate John Fitzgerald's mash bill creation. This bottling was previously aged for 8 years, but that designation was removed some years ago, and it has now been completely discontinued.

The flavor profile was fantastic. The tastes really popped on the tongue. It stood out during the tasting.
Not a remarkable serving. Lingering bitterness. It brings to mind another whiskey with wheat, but I can't quite place it.
My evaluation is based on a 78 8-year-old age statement SW bottling.
A wonderful bottle, very pleasing and delicious!
