Nelson Brothers Classic Bourbon

The aroma presents vanilla and a touch of cinnamon. The taste delivers a strong and delightful honey flavor with hints of spice, finishing dry on the tongue's tip, with a fairly brief but persistently dry and woody finish (resembling pencil shavings).

I'm genuinely surprised by how good this is for the cost. Edit: Okay, I was kidding. Now that I've finished the glass, it really does taste like pencil shavings mixed with soap. It is smooth, though, so it has that going for it.

The name of this spirit really appeals to me. Always loyal to Nelson's! I was taken aback by its remarkable smoothness. Quite delicious. I prepared reverse-seared steak with a house-made garlic and herb butter for Christmas Eve. Phenomenal!

The nose has excessive ethanol. It's very raw and grainy. Some positive aspects on the palate with decent sweet notes, but overall it's a bit rough. It's mediocre and not recommended for sipping, being much better suited for mixing.

Smells of cherry and caramel. A creamy texture, reminiscent of butterscotch. A bit of spice in the middle that stays through a medium finish. Not as good as the reserve, but I'll certainly be getting more of this.

I quite like this, with classic bourbon notes of caramel and vanilla on the nose. It has brightness and a bit of impact, without being excessively hot or spicy.
