Not bad. This expression has a more balanced flavor profile compared to their standard bourbon. It offers some fruit notes alongside dusty corn characteristics. It's quite young but less astringent, perhaps due to its age. However, the premium price for this spirit, which tastes more like cheaper, older bourbons from Kentucky, is substantial. It's expensive at $70.
I'm not fond of Texas bourbons. They possess a strong corn flavor and don't quite taste like bourbon. The smell is almost sickening. At least it doesn't have a shoe-leather taste like other Texas bourbons I've sampled.
This isn't a whiskey I'd want to sip. It costs too much to use with Coke, and it just makes the Coke taste bad. I would not purchase this again.
Musky leather and ethanol. Not enjoyable.
