Bulleit Bourbon Barrel Strength utilizes the same high-rye mash bill as the standard Bulleit Bourbon. The maturation process employs new American white oak barrels, charred to a #4 level on the staves and #2 on the heads. After aging, the bourbon is bottled directly from the barrel, uncut and unfiltered. Each batch's alcohol by volume varies; Batch 8 is presented at 121.8 proof (60.9% ABV). The nose features vanilla, oak, and floral notes with a subtle hint of spice. The palate consists of vanilla, leather, oak, and pepper. The finish is medium. Overall, it's a solid product. It's non-chill filtered and has a good alcohol by volume of roughly 61%. A good offering. I would recommend it.
