Edinburgh Navy Strength Cannonball Gin

Crafts a wonderful Gin and Tonic. Prepared with Fever Tree Light Tonic and adorned with a lemon slice. The potent juniper scent on the nose carries through on the taste, with the spicy Szechuan pepper making its presence known in the finish, and a hint of lemon juice and citrus oils from the peel on the surface of the tonic and then rubbed on the glass rim offers a pleasing balance of sweetness. This would also be excellent in a Martini (or even better a Gibson) if you prefer your juniper to be prominent -- chill it directly and serve up with a lemon twist; and it should hold up well in a Negroni (with the spicy pepper influence combined with the bold juniper elevating it to an "11" -- see the movie Spinal Tap). Superb!

This is a distinctive gin, primarily due to its alcohol content, which exceeds 57%. It's not as fruity, aromatic, citrusy, or spicy as most gins, but it does have a pleasant heat, a rich spiciness dominated by Szechuan pepper. Very good, delicious, and ideal for pairing with the finest tonic water or for crafting excellent cocktails. In my case, it works wonderfully with a bramble. It is a different gin, only in the alcohol content, which passes 57% degrees, it is not as fruity, aromatic, citrus or spicy as most gins, yes, it is spicy, a rich spiciness dominated by Szechuan pepper, Very rich, delicious and to combine with the best tonic water or for excellent cocktails, in my case with the bramble goes great.

Robust and commanding. Works well in mixed drinks; the gin's character still comes through.
