I purchased this on discount from an online alcohol retailer. Its usual price might have deterred me, as I tend to avoid paying a premium for supposedly "ultra-luxury" gins. However, the sale price brought it down close to the cost of Plymouth Navy Strength, prompting me to take a chance. This gin features three or four prominent notes, all of which are excellent, and the high proof significantly enhances their impact: an intense citrus tartness or acidity; a sharp, almost acrid, peppery note; the expected watery and herbaceous juniper; and a refreshing, sweet ginger. This is a world-class gin, suitable for either a robust martini or a potent nightcap.

Incredibly delightful and fragrant gin, boasting immense flavor and mouthfeel alongside astonishing smoothness considering its alcohol content. A sensational gin.

One of my favorite navy strength gins, bluish in color. Still quite potent even after adding tonic.
