About this bottle
Hernö's Navy Strength Gin is crafted using the same methods as their standard-proof gin, with the exception that the proof is reduced only to 57% ABV, the level the British Royal Navy considered acceptable. This standard was historically verified by pouring the spirit on gunpowder; if it ignited, the gin met the requirement. The water used to adjust the gin's proof originates from their own well. This Swedish gin is made with 8 certified organic botanicals, including meadowsweet, lingonberries, fresh lemon peel, and vanilla, in addition to juniper berries. Please note: This gin is not presently available in the U.S. but can be found across Europe.
