Mono de Calenda Jabalí

Sampled straight, a gift from a friend and my small holiday sampler:) Initially, earthy and fresh agave are prominent but in a mild and invigorating manner. It has wood and smoke characteristics, which are consistently appreciated. I thought I detected subtle hints of chocolate on the aroma but that was just my mind playing tricks. On the tongue, it's wonderfully piquant, heated, and with a most comforting and enduring conclusion.

Wonderful aroma of smoke, raw agave, earth, petrichor, minerality, char. Palate is lightly spicy, earthy, smoky, mineral. Long spicy finish.
