M&H APEX Fortified Red Wine Cask

A wonderful port-style wine cask finish. Aromas of raspberries, figs, cranberries, honey, toffee, espresso, dates, plums, vanilla, oranges, Luxardo cherries, blackberries, pineapple jelly, mangoes, white chocolate, and minerals. The taste features raspberries, ginger, dark chocolate, chili peppers, raisins, figs, dates, prunes, honey, sultanas, vanilla, grapefruit, oranges, and hazelnuts. The finish has notes of oranges, raspberries, milk chocolate, almonds, figs, and sultanas.

Aroma: Sweet like grape, vanilla, caramel, copper and spice with a hint of "trail mix." Palate: Metallic and malty with an unintegrated wine taste, plus some spice and "trail mix." Finish: Medium, with metallic and malt notes and a touch of grapey sweetness.

The nose has grilled red fruit with a hint of smoke. Young oak notes are present, along with barley sugar, nougat, almond, aloe, and dried peaches. The finish is dry with a slight alcohol warmth.
