Sauza Gold is an unaged mixto tequila made from a blend of 51% agave and 49% sugar-cane spirit distillate. Caramel coloring is added to achieve its golden hue. This tequila is primarily intended for use with strong mixers or for quick consumption as shots.

It functions well as a smooth cocktail ingredient. I do not suggest it for sipping if you desire significant agave presence, as it is, as indicated, a mixto containing both agave and sugar cane. Regardless, it is smooth and quite inexpensive, but lacks intense flavor. It would serve as an accessible introduction to tequila for novices.
Won't purchase this again. The packaging improved, but the contents are low-quality. Worse options exist, but there are better spirits at the same price point. A better choice would be Lunazul.
The aroma has agave, but it's not enjoyable to drink. Best consumed as a shot or in a mix. It's a bit harsh, with a plastic taste on the finish.
If you're considering this, understand that it's basically the same as cuervo gold. This made me dislike tequila for quite a while.
An excessively sweet roasted agave flavor is overwhelmed by a strong hit of pepper and raw herbal spice. Cost $30 in Ontario.
