This double-distilled, lightly peated single malt undergoes aging in bourbon barrels. While originally produced at Cooley Distillery, the recent acquisition of that distillery by Beam has led to a legal dispute over the whiskey's continued production there. A lawsuit is ongoing, prompting advice to purchase this whiskey while it remains available.

The aroma is pleasantly floral. Light malt flavors with grassy notes. Subtle fruit sweetness and the usual vanilla. However, the finish is quite unpleasant. It's not spicy or earthy, just a burnt, rotten taste. It doesn't live up to a 10-year-old should. I'd pass on this.
Deep fruit flavors mingle with spices and a gentle peat that tempers the sweetness. Exceptional when had with dark chocolate and orange. Also extremely hard to locate, which likely contributes to its high price.
Very approachable. Underlying creaminess. Minimal burn. Hints of vanilla on the nose.
