About this bottle
The Mezcalero brand is a collaboration between Craft Distillers of California and Oaxaca's Los Danzantes distillery, focusing on promoting handcrafted spirits. They partner with small, often family-owned, distilleries across Mexico to create artisan mezcals using traditional methods. This mezcal, which debuted in 2011, is produced from rare, wild-growing agave sierra negra and agave tepeztate. It was made by distiller Joel Antonio Cruz in San Juan del Rio, Querétaro, with only 852 bottles produced.
