Nuestra Soledad is El Jolgorio's collection of single-village mezcals. The mezcal produced in San Luis Del Rio, located in the eastern Valles Centrales area, is crafted from espadín agave. The agave undergoes roasting with mesquite and oak in pit ovens, followed by open-air fermentation and double distillation in copper alembics.

I sampled it over a large ice cube while sitting outside watching my partner exercise for her marathon. It's pleasant and smoky & rich, just as I prefer it! Delicious!
Nose: smoke Palate: smoke, slightly sweet Finish: medium-long with mild spice Overall: Good smokiness, but the alcohol presence is a bit too pronounced.
Very vegetal aroma, evolving into floral and cheesy notes. The nose is harsh, but it goes down very smoothly.
Citrus, mild vegetal notes, and light smoke. A strong gum-like aftertaste.
Herbal, sweet, smoky. Delicious. Rated 93.
