Smoky, Fruity, and Floral It smells and tastes like dark smoke. After you get used to the smoke, you can detect bright citrus, light floral notes, and yellow bell peppers. It's not entirely bad; there are some good aspects. I must simply dislike mezcal, as the smoke is overwhelming for me. This was a gift, so I can't comment on its value. It tastes alright, but there are many other spirits I'd prefer to consume.
