McQueen and the Violet Fog Gin originates from Jundiaí, Brazil, using a neutral sugarcane spirit and 21 distinct botanicals. Production occurs in batches with a 500-liter still, employing both maceration and vapor-infusion techniques. Notable botanicals include Indian basil leaves, Portuguese rosemary, Brazilian açaí, Mediterranean fennel seed, star anise, pomelo, jasmine, and lemongrass. The brand's name was inspired by a poem about a fictional rock band, with the final two stanzas printed on the bottle's reverse.

I typically use gin in mixed drinks, but this one is also easy to enjoy on its own. The aroma has prominent lime, quinine, and pine with a touch of berry/strawberry. The taste is peculiar, as it resembles a Sprite-infused spirit, but a custom, artisanal version. It's very refreshing, with more traditional gin notes forming the base and newer botanicals taking the lead. Lime and quinine are still very pronounced... excellent.

Pleasant aroma, balanced herbal and spicy notes. Easy to drink with good complexity (which I can't quite discern). Truly pleasant overall, fresh yet complete, with no lingering questions. It would be excellent neat or with a clean mint and tonic. Personally, I wouldn't want to obscure its character.
